statement of intent

For my print advertisement, I will make sure that it conforms to all rules set out by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). My content will not include any drugs or political issues therefore, it cannot be offensive. this is crucial because my product is going to be show at bus stops which means that the public will see it including children and we don't want to scare children or have the wrong target audience see it and report it. This show will be especially targeted at criminology students or people that enjoy just watching thrillers. My poster will include bold and impactful fonts ensuring that they stand out will attract the targeted audience, The colour scheme which will consist of blacks and greys will contrast to the font colour which will be white and have some darker shadows that make it seem realistic and natural whilst also making it stick out.

To have an audience I need to represent my show in a way which people would want to watch it and get the target audience to take an interest in it. Due to my main character being a teenage student we need to represent them in a way which is relatable to the audience and is realistic. For example, teenagers get paranoid in the dark especially when walking home or to somewhere therefore that's going to be seen in the show, the character in the main poster will be standing in the distance at night on the beach surrounded by darkness. The visuals will capture the element of my series. The darkness in my posters will be symbolic of the darkness and danger- a key theme of my series.

The target audience for my show are teenagers in the age range of 16-22 and I want both genders to be able to watch this movie as it includes multiple new main characters both male and female which experience the man crawling out of the painting throughout the series.
